OECS 13, the International Conference on Optics of Excitons in Confined Systems, held at the Angelicum Congress Centre in Rome from 9 to 13 September 2013. The scientific programme ran in eight named sessions on excitons in photonic structures, organic microcavities, optics of excitons in quantum wires and dots, polariton condensates, Bose–Einstein condensation of excitons and cold atoms, quantum optics and coherent control, quantum optomechanics and excitons in emerging materials, and included a special session in memory of Rodolfo Del Sole.
